I am having a wonderful Saturday out working in my yard, The Texas heat is very warm, I am just trying to stay in the shade as much as possible. It has been a while since I have had a week-end that I could do much needed yard work. My guy and I have been working on a special project I can't wait to share.
A bedroom make over. My favorite thing is the saying above the bed. Found this at Canton and had to have it. The colors were perfect for this room and it has so much meaning to me.
Everything you see came from flea markets, items I picked up while junkin, and from my grandmother's house.
The things from my grandmother's house are the things I treasure the most. She really did not think she had anything. My aunt was visiting and she said how proud she would be to know some one loved her things.
Truly my grandmother had a very shabby chic house. You can look through my blog and see all the beautiful things I have collected from her.
My sweet guy suggested we go somewhere for Spring break. We headed to Savannah, Georgia. It was so nice. A trip to Savannah would not be complete without eating at the Lady and Sons. I was so hoping that Paula Deen would come in, but that did not happen. The food was great and the people there were so nice. This was such a nice break from work.
I am so happy I found the perfect mirror at Canton, It was only twenty dollars, all brown and not so pretty, I wish I would have taken a before picture. The dresser is from my grandmother's house, it is all chippy. I love it!
I am in the process of changing our bedroom from pastel pink to white and burlap colors. I have the best guy in the world, he lets me decorate how ever I want, but he said I am glad the pink is going.
I am so glad you stopped by to visit my blog. I live in a small East Texas town. I am married to the most wonderful man, he was my high school sweetheart and is my best friend. We have three amazing children. One daughter and son-in-law,who have a beautiful little girl named Madeline Grace. She is our first grandaughter and we could not be more in love with her. We two sons and a grandson named Uri and we are in love with him.Grand- children are so great! Our youngest son is now atending Texas A&M . I almost forgot to mention our baby, Gracie. She is a miniature schnauzer and she is the princess at our house. We have adopted our son's Boston Terrier, Cesar who is now the king of our cottage nest.
I love junkin, flea markets and just looking through old stuff for treasures. I enjoy working out in the yard and garden and spending time with friends and family.
