A White Christmas

We had a beautiful white Christmas in East Texas. It was such a blessing to spend time with our children and grandchildren.

Pumpkins and Mums

Nothing says fall like pumpkins and mums.

 I have never had white mums, I decided to make a change this year and I love them.

   We are having cooler weather here in East Texas.  Fall is definitely in the air.

Metamorphosis-Monday

I am joining Between Naps on the Porch for Metamorphosis-Monday.

I have been scouring Craig's list for a long time looking for the perfect buffet. Looking all over the Texas area. One Saturday Morning I found this one in East Texas, less than 30 minutes from my house.

It was just what I had been looking for. It was perfect in every way, well , it was not white. That is never a problem for me.

With a little paint, here is the final product, and I just love it,

The details are just beautiful on the doors.

 All the little scrolls on the top just add to the character.

 The mirror above it came from a local flea market and my guy added to it.

The difference between the dark color of the buffet and now that is it white is just unbelievable. I am just so drawn to the lighter colors.

Nature's Beauty

Just sharing flowers around our yard. This summer has been so much better for East Texas. Last summer we had record heat and no rain.  

 I wish you could smell the roses, they smell so good.

All colors of crape myrtles. 

Cannas grow no matter what, I have moved them all over my yards and they just continue to grow and reproduce. 

Sunflowers are beautiful.

We are trying our luck at growing lemons and limes. I never dreamed the we could grow them in East Texas.

We have them on our patio, I can't wait till they are ready to pick
