Nature's Beauty

Just sharing flowers around our yard. This summer has been so much better for East Texas. Last summer we had record heat and no rain.
I wish you could smell the roses, they smell so good.

All colors of crape myrtles.

Cannas grow no matter what, I have moved them all over my yards and they just continue to grow and reproduce.

Sunflowers are beautiful.

We are trying our luck at growing lemons and limes. I never dreamed the we could grow them in East Texas.
We have them on our patio, I can't wait till they are ready to pick

Hope you all have a fabulous Friday!

Ann Perry's Beautiful Greenhouse

This such a beautiful greenhouse. This was featured in Flea Market Style along with an article about Ann.
Her husband and sons built this for her. She was so sweet to let us come and take a tour.I can't describe how peaceful it was. Butterflies were fluttering all around in it.
It is like being in a little church. I do not think I would ever go back in my house if I had this in my backyard.

She said she had collected things for a long time to go into her greenhouse. She has such a gift.

Old watering cans hanging up

Just an old sink full of flowers.

She has a little shoppe beside her home called the" Tin Rabbit." She has sales a couple of time each year. I cannot wait until she has one, she also has a booth in the Heritage Antique Mall in Lufkin, Texas. You should make a trip over, you will not be disappointed.
This little rabbit welcomes you as you enter her shoppe.

Ann Perry's Beautiful Home

Last week I went with my dear friend to meet Ann Perry and see her beautiful home. My friend had the privilege of meeting her at The Mustard Seed. What a blessing it was, she is such a sweet person. It is so peaceful at her home and she is just an angel. She has such a sweet spirit. Wow, what a treat it was.

This was in her dinning room
 The bathroom.

 The bedroom.
 Look at her beautiful pillows.
 The living room
 More beautiful pillows.

She is so creative, I am just amazed. She said she goes to garage sales and just picks up things she can see in her home.
I will share her beautiful green house on Tuesday.

Pink Saturday

I am linking up with How Sweet The Sound for Pink Saturday.

I am sharing these beautiful petunias that came back from last year. They have just flourished .

It seems like the flowers here in East Texas are more beautiful this year.We had a very hot and dry summer and we lost so many of our plants.

I did not realize that petunias would come back each year. I am so happy they did.

I had to add this cute little flower.

Hope you all have a beautiful Pink Saturday.

I wish you could see all the details, and I were a better photographer so you could see just how beautiful they are.

Hope you all have a Happy White Wednesday.

Madeline's First Easter

As we celebrate this Easter I realize how truly blessed we are. One of the highlights of my Easter was being in church with my family.

Ok the big kids had a Easter egg hunt. It makes it more fun when there is money involved.

We got Madeline and Urijah a cute little Easter Bucket. Urijah's is green.

Angel

We have a new sweet angel at Our Cottage Nest. I got it at my best friend's shoppe. It is in the Mustard Seed, downtown Henderson. Her booth is the first on on the left as you walk in. It is called Best Friends. If you are ever in Henderson you need to go by and check it out. I promise you will not be disappointed. So many cute things to see.

When I saw this angel it was love at first sight, just look at her chippy legs .

Her little tin heart. I love that someone is so creative that they can put odds and ends together and make such a beautiful thing.

Her little face is an old rusty door knob.
