The weather is just beautiful in East Texas, spring is all around us. I have been busy planting flowers this week at Our Cottage Nest. I love working in the garden and yard. I am on Spring Break this week and have loved every minute of it. I am heading to Tyler today to go junking and see if the azaleas are blooming. I hope you enjoy your day.

I bought two little chairs in Canton- $30.00, they were not to pretty to me. I wish I had before pictures, they were brown and gold.

I bought this secretary on Craig's list in Houston for &75.00. It was painted an awful blue. I have seen them many times for $300.00 +, so I think I got a great deal. It was just about 10 miles from where my son lives.

I found the beautiful bird cage at Ethel's Treasure Quest in Tyler,Texas. This is really a fun place to shop. She has lots of vintage items. She also has a booth at Canton's Trade Days. I plan on painting the bird cage white. I will post updated pictures. Have a wonderful week-end. I am headed to Canton to find more treasures.

I hope you have all had a Happy Valentine's Day. Steve gave me some beautiful roses and took me out to eat. Steve has been my Valentine for 3o + years. He is the Love of my Life, my best friend, and my special Valentine.

We have had the most beautiful day here in east Texas. We had about 6 inches of snow. Such a peaceful day at our cottage nest.

Just a few pictures of Pike's Market in Seattle, WA. We went on a cruise to Alaska this past summer with my family. My three older brothers, their wives, my Mom and our youngest son, Jason. This was a trip of a life time. It was beautiful. I fell in love with Seattle. We were there at a good time, the weather was perfect.
