Just sharing Christmas decorations at Our Cottage Nest. This is my favorite Christmas tree which is in my kitchen. I have old chandelier crystals and my red and white transfer plates and cups hanging on this tree.

Well it is down with the fall and time to start decorating for Christmas. I love this season, all the twinkling white lights and beautiful decorations. Welcome to the Alford's Home.

Thanksgiving

It has been a wonderful Thanksgiving. My sweet daughter and son-in-law invited us for Thanksgiving at their home in Houston. They did all the cooking, and it was so good. It was a time to reflect on just how thankful I am for all the blessings we have and being able to spend it with my family.

My mom made slip covers for a couple of chairs I have. My mom is so talented, she can sew anything.

I am so excited, I have been looking for cane back chairs forever on Craig's list. I would find them and they would always be sold or out of my price range. I was in Tyler and went to a second hand furniture place and guess what they had? They had six cane back chairs in perfect condition. The best thing is the price, $12.50 a piece. What a deal. After a little white paint they are just perfect.
